The Last Drop Distillers describe themselves as Curators of the World’s Most Remarkable Spirits. Operating across the spectrum of aged spirits, they specialise in bottling exceptional old spirits deserving of their moment in the spotlight. Join Rebecca Jago, managing director of TLD (and daughter of one of the founders) and master blender Colin Scott for a guided tasting of two exceptional blended Scotch Whiskies. In the world of Scotch Whisky it is often said that distilling is a science but blending is an art. Colin Scott has spent nearly 50 years in the whisky industry, including many years as master blender for Chivas Regal, and is ideally placed to share the wonders of fine blends.

Join us for a guided tasting of a Last Drop release, a 56 Year Old Blended Scotch Whisky, recently awarded 98 points at the IWSC 2020, and of Tom’s Blend, our house whisky, specially created for co-founder, Tom Jago.

We have 20 tasting sets available including a sample of Tom’s Blend, a sample of the 56 Year Old, a tasting mat and some product information. Rebecca Jago

Rebecca Jago is the Managing Director of The Last Drop, and the only daughter of co-founder Tom Jago – legendary to many in the drinks industry as an innovator, a maverick and the creator of Bailey’s. She grew up surrounded by the trappings of the drinks business, not least her father’s love of a good dram, and both her parents’ passion for wine and good company. A childhood full of holidays in France and a gradual introduction to the pleasures of alcohol through gradually less watered-down wine with meals have left an indelible mark on Rebecca’s tastes, pleasures and palate.

Colin Scott

World-renowned Master Blender Colin Scott has spend 50 years in the whisky industry. Highlights of his glittering career include the creation of luxury whiskies Chivas Regal 18 Year Old and Chivas Regal 25 Year Old, as well as the growth of the Royal Salute range.
